Mountainback

We got to see what several units looked like because we went with a bunch of people. They all were spacious, comfortable and clean. We stayed with another couple in one unit and had a great time. It had everything that we needed and we didn't feel cramped at all. The kitchens were a nice bonus. From the underground parking you have to go upstairs, so make sure thats okay with everyone that you are traveling with. There is no elevator. We can wait to go back because all the activities, hiking, kayaking, biking, shopping, were all enjoyable.

After doing some research I realized that you can stay at a condo for the price of a hotel. This is the only way we will be staying in Mammoth from now on. The condo we had was amazing and fully stocked. We arrived late in the day but the reception area had our keys and instructions waiting for us so it was no problem at all. A two bedroom, two bath unit with a TV + DVD and a nice living space made our few days here so great. Its a little far from Yosemite if thats what you plan to do but theres a lot to do in Mammoth also. Wed like to come here again.

For only $30 more than if you stay at Holiday Inn you get two bedroom, two bathrooms and your own private condo. This is the type of deal that I like. Our unit was in excellent shape and we liked the location. Its very close to skiing, the town and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was so clean. It was modern and had Internet access which was great for checking the weather. We had to walk up a lot of stairs with our luggage though but that was just a minor hassle that you might have to do anyhwere you go, especially around a ski lodge.

We decided to buy our own unit after staying here for many years. A two bedroom condo is now ours! We kept coming back because the location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and the property also has a pool and spa. Other condos in the area just aren't as complete from our experience. When we were lucky enough to be able to buy one, we knew Mountainback was going to be our choice. The onsite manager take pride in their job and are a pleasure to talk to whether you own or not... You can walk right to the village or Canyon Lodge to mingle with other travelers. Guests enjoy that and so do we!

Ive stayed here 2 to 3 times a year for the last several years because of the great location, price, and convenience of it all. Its really easy to book online and we plan multiple trips throughout the year because of this. Other places in Mammoth are a little difficult to find a three bedroom with a loft but all of the units here are nice and if thats what you want youll be able to get it at Mountainback at a decent price. A family with children will enjoy their stay because its a low-key place. Nothing fancy to break or damage and the staff is welcoming and helpful. Great for a big group.
