The Homestead

Along a great inland sea within the confines of a spectacular national lakeshore lies The Homestead. It is on the shore of Manitou Passage in Lake Michigan across the bay from Sleeping Bear Dunes, the largest moving dunes in the world. When you visit, you will discover beaches on which you can walk for hours without interruption. They will make your day soothing in spring and summer, invigorating come fall and winter and your evening remarkably romantic year-round. Please note the following June 19th through Labor Day 24 hours a day. June 3rd through June 18th 24 hours a day on weekends and 8am to midnight during the week. September 7th through October  31st 24 hours a day on weekends and 8am to midnight during the week. Housekeeping hours are from 9am to 5pm daily. Hours of operation vary based on the season.
