Escapes to the Gulf at Galveston

My stay at the Escapes was one of the best time I have had on the coast. The condo more than exceeded my expectations. The Kitchen was laid out as if I was at my own hoem and the living ares was welldecorated with pictures and tv.

Great beach front location. Friendly service. Awesome ocean views. The downside is that the living area furniture needs to be replaced more frequently, well worn and stained. The beds need to be pillowtop, they are like a rock, even my young adult children had trouble sleeping on them. Other than that I think if they can get these two things straightned out we will be very pleased with our stay.

We made our reservations online after my dad insisted we stay at the Hilton again, but since we have children it is important to us to feel like we're home on vacation w/ a kitchen. We arrived and was welcomed with a breakfast the next morning and activities to follow for our son. Our room felt so cozy and clean w/ a beautiful view of the pool and ocean we couldve just made Galveston home. We went home with really cute pictures taken on the bridge walkway going to the ocean and one night enjoyed a safe walk on the beach while the grandparents watched our children in their room. We also had four generations of family with us and our stay far surpassed the hustle and fuss at the Hilton. Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Escapes and we shall return.

We had never seen the property before and were really surprised when we arrived. The office personnel were very friendly and oriented us to the property. The room was almost like new and the view was spectacular from the balcony. Our 4 night stay was very enjoyable. Obviously all of the staff have been well trained to acknowledge clients and meet their needs. Everyone we came in contact with were friendly, helpful, and professional. The pool was especially nice and getting to the surf was just a short walk on the boardwalk to the beach. Having washer and dryer in the outer foyer made it very handy. The value was one of the best we have experienced. The room was well decorated and the kitchen utensils were more than we would ever need. Check out was quick and professional. We plan to come again.

Great beach location.We were in a lock off unit one bedroom (Sleeps 4). very tiny, and no oven, just a microwave, fridge, and stove top. There was a nice beach view from all locations of the building, however our patio was only large enough for one chair and we could barely get the door open without having to bend out of the way of the chair to get seated. The staff was nice and helpful. Woud stay again but only in a two bedroom with a decent size patio. The beds were not comfortable. We checked out the 2 bedroom rentals and they looked really nice and about twice the size of the one we stayed in. We will definitly stay there again but only in the larger rental with a nice size patio and roomier inside space.

Good prices. Great views and amenities.
