Clean and Nice but Boring
My husband, my parents, and my two young children stayed at the Buccaneer in a lovely 2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom unit with a fully equipped kitchen and a back patio with lawn chairs and a table and chairs set. There was a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. The kids had toys to play with and there was a pool and a hot tub, where there was always space. The property owners supply things for the beach, such as chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and so on. The resort has lots of amenities including lots of restaurants and a putting green, and the beach and the pier are nearby. We also had numerous shops to buy souvenirs, all close enough to walk to. Theres lots of space and its a nice quiet place but there are rules for staying in the apartment that make you nervous when you have toddlers running around who might damage something. You can't put your suitcases on the bedspreads. In fact, there is a sign telling you not to sit on the bed. Also, they don't allow children in the hot tub or in the pool after 9 oclock at night. I don't think its a particularly good place for kids in terms of the area. Apart from swimming and the beach, there isn't much for them to do. I asked the advice of people living locally with kids if they knew of anything else. I didn't feel relaxed after all the housework, cooking, and shopping but there isn't anyone to blame for that. We did have all the home comforts and it was more than big enough for us. Perhaps, older people would appreciate the area more but I found the place to be a bit boring.
