There are numerous Biloxi activities to enjoy on your Biloxi vacation, whether you like to do a lot or a little on your vacation.
Ship Island is one of the more popular Biloxi area activities. Just 12 miles away from Biloxi, Ship Island is a favorite spot for locals to take their boats, while visitors can hop aboard the Ship Island Excursion boat. On the way to the island and at the island itself, visitors can get a glimpse at a diverse array of wildlife including dolphins, shore birds, brown pelicans, osprey as well as starfish, sand dollars, hermit crabs and the odd sting ray or jelly fish.
Grown ups will appreciate the eight casinos in the local Biloxi area, like the live entertainment at the Treasure Bay Casino and the Beau Rivage Casino, which has it all including dining, gaming, shopping, charter boat fishing, access to 19 championship golf courses and more. Stay at the conveniently located nearby Legacy by Biloxi Beach Resort Rentals.
For a glimpse at the Old South, tour Beauvoir, a grand plantation home. Jefferson Davis, the only president of the Confederacy, spent the last 12 years of his life here and the 51-arcre site is also home to other pieces of history including a Civil War Museum, the Tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier, a historic cemetery and Davis's library. Other popular Biloxi activities include taking a ride on the Biloxi Train Tour or visiting the Friendly Oak, a 500-year old tree said to be the oldest and most beautiful in the state.
