Oktoberfest is a great time to visit Mammoth Mountain in California. The event traditionally begins the opening weekend of October, and includes authentic German food, music, and games.
The “Bier Meister” is responsible for overseeing the days events, including the “Budenstrausse”, or otherwise known as an avenue of booths, which feature a combination of authentic German cuisine, arts, crafts, and live music and dance. There is a Kindergarten area offered, allowing kids an opportunity to take part in the festival, while their parents can explore some of the more traditional adult activities, such as tasting all the fresh brewed German beers.
