Williamsburg Virginia is often associated with a lot of historical events and educational services. Many people visit there so they can take in some of the history and culture. For those planning a Williamsburg vacation, there are many activities to do there. Here is some information on them.

The Dewitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum is a good area for people who want to get a little culture and see creative things. It first opened in 1985 and inside is a large collection of antiques from both the United States and the United Kingdom. While there, people can look at furniture, ceramic art, paintings, metals, glass, firearms, art prints, and textiles. Many of which date back between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. Inside, there is also a store and a cafe.

For something more adventurous and interactive, there is the Original Ghosts of Williamsburg Candlelight Tour. Here, a guide will take people through the streets of the Colonial area during the nighttime with only candlelight as the light source. The guide will discuss eerie folklore of the area. These tours are for all ages and provide a lot of story telling.

The Mystery Dinner Playhouse if a place where people can get food and entertainment at the same time. The show lasts for about an hour and is broken into five segments. It is a banquet style dining area.

The Playhouse can accommodate both small and large groups of people. The actors are also the servers which allows patrons to talk to them while in character. If a patron solves the mystery, a prize is awarded to them.

That was some information on what to do during a Williamsburg vacation during the summer time. These are just a few of the many things to do there. In summer, they also have certain seasonal events and festivals. For those specific dates, visiting the official city website will provide the information.
