If you have ever been on a Myrtle Beach vacation, you might have noticed that something was missing. Come one, a great beach town with tons of adorable shops and an amazing beach front... but no boardwalk? The city of Myrtle Beach is fixing that, and this year has released its plans for making a new haven by the beach.

It's not just the tourists that are going to benefit from this change. The powers that be are looking to construct a fanciful, nostalgic, and almost dreamy stretch of boardwalk that will be enjoyable for both residents and visitors. This over a mile long walkway will host all of the beach-side shops you could hope for plus some "carnivalesque" extras. Hoping to not only boost the economy in this area, Myrtle Beach is looking to get "more on the map" as a favorite family vacation spot.

The City Councill is still in the process of meeting to decide what should and should not go into the large and lengthy construction stages. Residents and avid vacationers have mixed feelings about the carnival theme idea that is being presented. Above everything else, this beach town is looking to make their stays a little more memorable. Myrtle Beach Real Estate News posted some information that includes drawings and detailed information on the progress of this Myrtle Beach vacation revolution and sites like ABetterStay.com have seen an influx of travelrs researching Myrtle Beach Vacation Rentals in anticipation of the grand opening.
