Everyone is invited to the annual Noel Nights, guaranteed to bring in the festive spirit. The Village at Northstar resort is hosting the three nights on December 4th, 11th, and 18th, 2009 from 4.00pm – 8.00pm. The family fun includes decorating tree ornaments and Christmas trees, photographs with Santa, carol singers from the Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus at Sierra College, special deals on shopping, cookie decorating, and one-horse sleigh rides.
Fire pits and hot chocolate will keep everyone warm throughout the proceedings. For budding ice skaters, skate rentals are free in exchange for a non-perishable food item or canned good donated to the local food bank. Various businesses are hosting activities. Olivier Napa Valley restaurant and gift store will serve roasted chestnuts and mulled wine, the Earthly Delights delicatessen is presenting a cookie and wine tasting session, and the Mine children’s store is organizing a snowmaking contest, (if weather permits).
The shopping deals include discounts at North Face, Butterbox, True North, Oakley, Northstar Logo Company, and Mine.
Each Noel Night also features a special activity. The 35-foot tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on December 4th; there is an Amateur Skating performance on December 11th, and an Ice Sculpture Carving Demonstration on December 18th. So bring out the whole family to celebrate Lake Tahoe's Noel Nights.
