Ski condos offer travelers the ultimate in spaciousness and convenience. They’re far better than a hotel for privacy, for all-around room, and often have luxury amenities that rival 5-star resort hotels. By far the best ski condos are located in the best ski areas in North America.

These include the Rocky Mountain region, especially the states of Colorado, California, Utah, Idaho and Montana, and Vermont, and the exquisite slopes in Canada’s British Columbia and Alberta.
If you’ve got a large group or family to accommodate, you need multiple bedrooms, a full-size, fully-stocked kitchen, one or more fireplaces (where you can sit in front of the roaring fire after a day on the slopes), several bathrooms, enough living space for quiet time and relaxing, and other amenities.
For some travelers, ski condos absolutely have to have ski-in and ski out access to the mountain and/or lifts. And, they’re very particular about what constitutes true ski-in and ski-out. Read all the property descriptions carefully and ask questions if you don’t understand what it says.
Other vacationers say that they want high-speed Internet access, flat-screen TVs, DVD/VCR and plenty of movies available.
You may want a hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna – in your rental ski condos or on-site in the facility.
Proximity to the ski area is paramount. Even if the property isn’t adjacent to the mountain, be clear on how far you’ll need to go to get to the slopes.
Speaking of hitting the slopes, be on the lookout for properties that offer bargain lift tickets and rentals, if you need them – or tips on where to get them. You’ll save money overall on your ski condos, but you also want to maximize your money so it doesn’t all go on lift tickets and/or rentals.
