At a size of three square miles, the town of Frisco may not be very big, but one thing you can be sure of is that it’s very big on fun and adventure. In winter this is beautiful scenic town is transformed into something right out of a holiday folk tale. The town of Frisco got its start in the early 1800’s when mountain men combed the area trapping beavers for their coats. In the 1870’s, due to increased mining in the area, Frisco started to grow. Then in the latter half of the twentieth century the ski industry moved in and created a huge tourist boom. Today the draw of a Frisco vacation brings millions of people each year to the area.
