South Myrtle Beach South Myrtle Beach is slower paced and quieter than central and north Myrtle Beach, but don’t read too much into it. South Myrtle Beach is still a magical place to enjoy a vacation, tending to cater more to a younger crowd than the rest of the area. The South Myrtle Beach area includes popular Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island; both offer scenic adventures on the water from the deck of a boat and so much more.
