The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in Orlando on June 18. The Harry Potter theme park is a new addition to Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure. It is centered on a real-life replica of Hogwarts Castle and brings all the magic of Harry Potter to life. The park's creators worked with J.K. Rowling, the book series' author, to stay true to her original creations.

SeaWorld Trainer Killed...Not exactly what a vacation goer in Orlando wants to hear. Orlando Sherriff Officials confirmed that one person is dead at Seaworld’s Shamu Stadium after an accident Wednesday afternoon. It is said a employee of SeaWorld was killed Wednesday at the park's Shamu Stadium involving a killer whale, rummor has it that it is a female trainer but that is still unconfirmed at the time of this post. However, local TV station WKMG LOCAL 6 reported that a female trainer was killed after she was pulled under by one of the whales at the start of one of the scheduled shows. They went on to say that "According to witnesses, the trainer was grabbed by the whale and “thrashed around.” The woman was dead when emergency crews arrived. The audience was evacuated from the stadium after sirens went off and the show was cancelled.

I could not imagine being a parent there with young children watching this unfold live. Theme park officials and the Sheriff's Office will hold a 4:15 p.m. briefing about the Seaworld trainer killed.
